Started in 1977, the Hellenic Community's Annual Greek Food Festival has become a popular event in the City of Vancouver. For 3 days, the Hellenic Community Centre is transformed into a large "glendi" or party with great food, music and entertainment.

Preparations for the festival start months in advance with all members of our Community coming together to put on this great production. The Ladies of our Philoptochos Auxiliary bake over 25,000 deserts and pastries for the event which are sold in our Kafenio and our Bakery.

There's lots to see and do while at the Festival!

• Dance performances from dance groups representing various parts of Greece
• Church Tours of St. George's Greek Orthodox Cathedral
• Live Bouzouki music on Saturday and Sunday nights (8-10 p.m.)
• AGORA which offers a variety of Greek souvenirs, music and books
• BAKERY where you can take home delicious Greek deserts and pasteries
• KAFENIO enjoy a Greek Coffee and the famous Greek donuts called "loukoumades"
• DINING ROOM enjoy a full course dinner which includes Greek Salad and desert
